MiraTEC® by JELD-WEN Supports Duke Children’s Hospital and YMCA through Terramor Homes’ Parade of Play Homes Campaign

CHARLOTTE, N.C.— MiraTEC by JELD-WEN is proud to support Terramor Homes’ 2017 Parade of Play Homes. Terramor Homes will build 10 play homes to be raffled and auctioned off with proceeds benefitting Duke Children’s Hospital and YMCA of the Triangle.

The Terramor team is designing and building each play home with a theme, including a lighthouse and fire station. These play homes are built to inspire young minds and foster creative fun.

“The MiraTEC team is delighted to support this unique and heartfelt campaign by donating materials for construction,” said Peggie Bolan, vice president and general manager of building products for JELD-WEN, the manufacturer of MiraTEC trim.

The play homes will feature MiraTEC® exterior trim, an environmentally friendly wood composite product manufactured in Towanda, Pa., that combines the eye-catching beauty of cedar with the long-lasting performance of an engineered product. Because it is not hardboard, MiraTEC trim will not delaminate and it is moisture, rot and termite resistant. MiraTEC products are backed by a 50-year limited warranty. MiraTEC trim has no added urea-formaldehyde (certified by Scientific Certification Systems under certificate number SCS-NAUF-01802), and complies with the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) 93120 to utilize exempt status ultra-low emitting formaldehyde (ULEF) resins making it an excellent choice for sustainable building. More information about MiraTEC is available online at www.miratectrim.com.

The Parade of Play Homes will be on display September 30 through October 15 at various locations during the annual Triangle Parade of Homes presented by the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County and the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties.

Terramor Homes invites the local community to get involved. Visit workliveplaygive.com to learn about the play homes and see the progress. There is also an opportunity to give back. Make a donation directly to the fundraiser, or purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of the play homes. Tickets for Terramor Homes’ Charity Gala on September 22 are also available to reserve on the website.
